With the government planning to introduce national tests for 7-year-old children, have we gone too far with the box-ticking approach to education? Ben Fogle certainly thinks so and wants children to spend more of their learning time in the outdoors with nature.

Prince George to attend a Montessori nursery in Norfolk

Kensington Palace has released the news that Prince George will begin to attend the Westacre Montessori Nursery School in Norfolk before the end of January.  Both Prince William and Prince Harry attended Montessori Nursery schools as toddlers.

The Westacre Montessori Nursery School was rated “good” by Ofsted earlier this year.

Paris Climate Change Talks End in Agreement Being Signed

The last of the Paris climate change talks took place on Saturday, in which ministers from 196 countries got together to debate the issue. Following hours of negotiations and compromises, at 7:16pm the French foreign minister, Laurent Fabius, announced that the agreement had finally been signed.

What is Education? Commons Select Committee to Investigate

Is it to prepare young people to pass exams, or should education be helping young people build character and develop the knowledge and skills they’ll need to lead a fulfilling adult life?
