This qualification has been developed in response to the need for a structured, regulated and professionally credible route within clinical aesthetic injectable practice. It is intended to support high standards of practitioner preparation by combining advanced treatment-based competence with the broader knowledge, judgement and behaviours required for safe and accountable practice.

The qualification will enable learners to:
- develop advanced knowledge and understanding of anatomy, pathophysiology and dermatology relevant to aesthetic injectable therapies
- develop advanced knowledge and understanding of medical assessment, consultation, image recording and treatment planning in relation to aesthetic injectable practice
- apply clinical health, safety and welfare principles in order to maintain safe treatment environments and protect patients throughout the treatment journey
- develop and apply the knowledge, skill and judgement required to deliver aesthetic injectable therapies for facial treatments safely and effectively within scope of practice
- apply values, ethics and professionalism in support of safe, accountable and patient-centred practice
- critically evaluate literature and evidence relevant to aesthetic injectable practice in order to inform professional reasoning and decision-making
- monitor treatment outcomes, provide appropriate aftercare and identify, respond to and escalate treatment-related concerns appropriately within the limits of competence and professional responsibility
- reflect on and evaluate professional practice in order to support safe, effective and ethically sound service delivery
