Philosophy and Practice of Integrative Education

This postgraduate certificate programme is for upper school (secondary school) teachers who would like to develop an integrative teaching practice to meet the changing needs of young people today. The programme offers students an overview of contemporary approaches to teaching, learning and assessment. It also covers collaborative and action research methods to develop new ways of working within a school or teaching faculty.

The programme also explores Steiner-based educational principles and the philosophical and developmental picture of the human being that informs them. Through this programme, students are offered the practical tools and theoretical understanding to innovate and develop their practice within the context of their place of work. This programme prepares teachers to work with the international ACTS (Acknowledging Creative Thinking Skills) approach to 14 to 19 education.
